My brain hurts

I've spent my morning trying to come up with some creative, compelling copy to finish up a project that's been through several revisions. I think this is the hardest part--finding that last little "something" that is the glue, the thread, the binding element.

I thought it would be a good idea to step away for awhile, so I ate lunch (low blood sugar muddies the thinking, and I only had coffee for breakfast). One tuna salad sandwich and a bowl of soup later, I'm still not inspired. Perhaps my muse is at lunch as well. Or perhaps I should look elsewhere for inspiration. But where?

What inspires/motivates/drives you?

Get a swing. Seriously, I put a swing in the backyard. When I'm stuck or frustrated, I just go sit. It's amazing how the simple act of swinging can melt the stress and clear the head.

I've also been known to go for a walk or a run. Anything that gets me out, disengages the brain for a while, and refreshes the body works for me.

Simplicity works best for me. Sometimes even being ridiculously simple. Every so often I am stumped and frustrated while planning my classes, trying to come up with or incorporate a grand theme, when what I really need to do is go back to the beginning, the foundation, the purpose.

That's just me and my brain though. I get too far ahead of myself.
