You know what really sets my teeth on edge?
The chronic misuse in TV and movies of "I," "me," "us," "we" and "them."
"John and me are going to play tennis."
"Do you want to go with David and I to the movies?"
"You think you're better than me?"
"I have more cookies than them."
Etc.
It's as grating as fingernails on a chalkboard . . . is there no equivalent to copy editor among the scriptwriting set?

I used to live in the land of "them." It was common to hear "Them seats are taken" or "Are them yours?" But then again, my hometown crowd also says the car "needs washed." ;))
Are you sure it didn't need warshed?

I stand correct - it IS "warshed." My mother goes to "Warshington Township" and "warshes" her laundry. Drives me batty.
