Break

Happy Friday the 13th!

I guess my whining from Wednesday paid off--the freelance gods saw fit to free up yesterday morning for me. I took full advantage, too.

I ate breakfast--and lunch! I exercised. I didn't shower until 11:00 a.m. I caught up on some personal correspondence. I even made plans to meet up with a friend of my mother's for drinks and dinner later that night.

It was a lovely little break, and just what I needed to re-energize myself.

My "break" yesterday consisted of going to Big Lots and the grocery store *sigh* - I think I need a better break!

It's true, when you write/edit/work from home, it seems you don't take those needed breaks - work can be 7 days a week, any time of the day...unlike the structured days when I worked in an office 9-5, five days a week! (although I'm not complaining - office work sucked the life out one me!)

take more of those days when/as you can. Good for the soul.

Kathryn, I agree--it's hard to draw the line between work and play when you work where you play!

Angie, I will certainly try. You do the same!
